This usually results in very low rates of return. Our financial section covers other Financial Institutions, Mortgages, Investment Consultants, Credit & Finance Companies - and Crowd Funding!

Danbury Dental Care

24 Maldon Rd, Danbury, Chelmsford CM3 4QH, UK – 01245 225091

Just had my first treatment without sedation for many years. Needed a poorly tooth to be extracted. Dan and Geraldine managed to put me at my ease. Thank you so much. I would really recommend Dan if you are a nervous patient.

I hated the dentist....until now. I've had awful experiences in life with the dentist. Having my teeth filled at an early age and horrible malpractice experiences by some dentists leaving me in pain, embarrassment and traumatised. I then had to take my service to a London practice but this wasn't always easy especially with the kids. I decided to try Danbury Dental Centre (not to be confused with any other local dentist!). Wow. From the moment I walked it, I was impressed. I was expecting a cramped waiting area but I got a lovely roomy waiting area with sofas and such a lovely happy receptionist. She had already explained the costs over the phone and immediately put my at ease re my appointment. The hygienist was lovely - she didn't criticise me like others have but offered me constructive advice and made me feel really confident about my teeth for the first time in my life! Then we all saw Dan who was just wonderful - I wasn't even nervous and again, he made me feel confident. I had a filling that needed replacing and he reassured me that it wasn't a big deal and as he was doing it, checked all was ok etc. It was the best filling I've ever had, if there can be such a thing! I am truly impressed and I am so happy that my family finally have a decent dentist to go to. My kids also enjoyed the experience (and who can say that about the dentist?!?). Top marks to Dan and his team. I have no hesitation in recommending this dentist and would certainly put him right up there with the very best London ones.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around South Woodham Ferrers

The Griffin - Danbury , Essex

64 Main Rd, Danbury, Chelmsford CM3 4DH, UK – 01245 699024

The selection of gluten-free food that use to be there at the Griffin wasn't. They don't want to serve you drinks outside and had to collect your cutlery. Dining outside was noisy with the traffic. However serving staff were very helpful and the cheese board tasty

Very friendly, not bad food and drink

Zara Indian Cuisine (Danbury)

Royal Oak, Chelmsford Rd, Woodham Mortimer, Maldon CM9 6TJ, UK – 01245 222159

Average Bangladeshi fare. Not bad but nothing worth going there specially. If you need to have Indian fare in this area, not too many options so this is ok, if you want good food, better cook at home or go to Ilford

Good food and service

The Bakers Arms

7 Maldon Rd, Danbury, Chelmsford CM3 4QH, UK – 01245 227300

Great Fish & Chips. Portions are large (small is equivalent to medium elsewhere). Not to be confused with the £5 fish & chip offers elsewhere. Best Fish & Chips in the area.

Lovely pub, friendly owners and staff. Good atmosphere and they do takeaway food. The best fish and chips ive had in years, a clear must visit!!! Check my photos for the takeaway menu.

Great school!

Heathcote Preparatory School and Nursery

Eves Corner, Danbury CM3 4QB, UK – 01245 223131

Our eldest daughter can't wait to get to school every day. We've been really impressed with the individual attention that each pupil gets to help them excel not only academically but with their more creative and nurturing talents too. Our youngest daughter is in the Nursery, which she has attended for 2 years and again, cannot wait to get there every day. They have such varied days not only in the classroom but with outdoor learning in the nearby countryside, trips to the library and plenty of other activities to allow them to learn through play. The school is a lovely place to be for children and parents!

Our son joined in Year 4 last September and we haven't looked back since. It took him next to no time to get used to Heathcote's ways and he has made some really good friends already. Everyone made him feel welcome straight away and he has felt at home there. As a consequence, he has been able to focus on his work and make fantastic progress in Maths and English. He has taken part in some amazing workshops and been given sporting opportunities that he couldn't have had in another, bigger school. His love for Art is also being nurtured and encouraged and for all these reasons, we couldn't thank the school enough. His teachers have been immensely supportive and always give us regular, reassuring feedback which is very much appreciated. Also, before and after school care is excellent. It is home from home and that can only bring peace of mind to full-time working parents.
